Places I've been - World!
All photos taken by me.
(Just thought I 'd throw that in) : )
Outside of the U.S., I've been in:
London, England (for about 8 hours!)
West Germany (now known as Western Germany)
East Germany (now known as Eastern Germany)
Austria
Czechoslovakia (now known as the Czech Republic)
Canada (several times)
The pictures from Europe are all on slides, and have not been
scanned as yet. (I'll get to it -- keep your pants on...)
However, here are a few pics that I do have.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Vancouver, about twice the population of Seattle, is about
two hours North via Interstate-5/Highway 99. Vancouver boasts
one of the most photogenic skylines I've ever seen. A lot of
glass structures that shine brightly as the sun hits them, surrounded
by wonderful natural scenery.

Robson Street is a shopper's paradise, even at night!

In Feb, 2004, I stayed at my friend's timeshare at the corner of Hornby and Helmcken.
This view is out my 22nd floor bedroom window (towards the SE) at sunrise.

This is the view to the NE, looking up Hornby Street.
Years ago I had a nightmare where I was sliding down the slope of the building with the
turquoise colored roof (in the background, not the larger sloped building in the lower
right -- that's "The Law Courts"). I slid down toward the edge but when I tried to grab
onto the ledge, I missed...
then I woke up, thankfully. Now I call it the "Nightmare Building" but
most people know it as "The Hotel Vancouver". It's really a very elegant hotel.
