Removed to Greenbrier with twin brother Joseph. (Settled in present Monroe Co.?). (This should be Mason Co.) Was living on his father's land of 500 acres in "Green Brier" in 1802 (as stated in his father's will) with his brother Joseph. Capt. Reuben Harrison willed his son Reuben one Negro Slave named Peter in addition to the land that was willed jointly to Joseph and Reuben.

Reuben's Will 1-347& 348 Jackson County, W(Va)

REUBEN HARRISON } In the name of God Amen, I, Reuben Harrison, Sr. of

WILL } Jackson and commonwealth of Virginia being weak in body

but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God and calling to

mind the uncertainty of human life, and being desirous to dispose of all

such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with. I do hereby

make my last will and testament in manner following that is to say I give

and bequeath to my son John C. Harrison all my personal property consisting

of three fetherbeds and bedding - 1 clock, 1 Trunk 1 cow and 8 head of

sheep all our cooking utensils Kitchen furniture milk pans, crocks, (oholer?)

1 churn, 1 cupboard & cupboard furniture chairs Table and acct on Josiah

Harrisson for seven dollars one pair of steelyards and all my rights and

interest such as in invested in me of one hundred acres of Land situated in

the county aforesaid on the Left hand Fork of Pocatalico creek all the

aforesaid property both real and personal. I give and bequeath unto my son

John C. Harrisson aforesaid fore his use and benefit for ever in witness

whereof. I have hereunto set my hand and offered my seal this 12th day of
